Roundabout
Quilts
Use your Roundabout Ruler to Create Large,
Graceful Scallops…and MORE!

For Scalloping:
To any table runner or quilt attach a border measuring at least 6.5” for use with the
24” Roundabout Ruler or at least 9.5” for use with the 36” Roundabout Ruler.

Using the scalloping line on your Roundabout Ruler, or using the points to
approximate placement, mark the outside edge of your Roundabout Ruler with
chalk or removable marking pencil / pen.

It is suggested that you test any water or air soluble marker on a scrap of your
fabric prior to marking your quilt binding…be sure the color will come out
completely before proceeding!

Using the following placement suggestions as a guide, determine the size and
number of scallops that will be most attractive on your quilt project.

The 24” Roundabout Ruler points will align with the seam lines on an accurately
sewn 12” finished block.

The 36” Roundabout Ruler points will align with the seam lines on an accurately
sewn 18” segment – either 3) 6” finished blocks, an 18” finished block, or with a
combination of a seam line and the center point of the adjoining block on 12”
finished squares.
